Tonight will be a interesting night not because of the snow this afternoon but due to the black ice. I have already heard reports of accidents in ETWeather Blog's area and I'm sure there are more. Most area schools are already closed or delayed for tomorrow, so this will hopefully limit some of the traffic on the roads.
The Factors going into Tonight's Black Ice event:
- First off current Temperatures are in the 20s at 11:17 PM and will contininue to drop
- There is still some slush and run-off on some of the back roads especially
- Dense fog is being reported in many areas, which turns to what is called freezing fog.
More Snow....
There is the possibility of more snow showers tomorrow and tomorrow night. Right now it does appear this will be light, but we can't rule out some very light accumulations. Remember to keep it here for the latest on these clipper systems as we go into tomorrow.
