Cool start with a nice warm up

Today:

Nice warm up after a cool start with temperatures in the lower 30s as we start the day.  We should see highs warm up into the lower 60s with mostly sunny skies.

Tonight:

Cloud cover is expected to move back into the region, but lows will still drop in the lower 30s.

New Years Eve Day:

A nice sunny day, but that will not allow temperatures to warm up much with highs in the mid to upper 40s.

New Year Eve Night:

There will be clear skies and much colder conditions with lows in the lower 20s.

New Years Day:

Nice day expected with mostly sunny skies.  Highs will get into the mid to upper 40s.

Winter Weather Event:

The winter weather event we had been tracking looks to be fading.  Right now the timing of the event will make most of this precipitation fall in the form of rain Thursday night into Friday.  There might be a lingering shower or snow shower come Friday night, but for the most part this should be a rain event.  Keep it here at ETWeather Blog for the latest on this storm system.
