Extremely Cold Start to the Holiday Week

Some of the coldest weather we have seen all season is setting in tonight across the region.  Expect lows in the single digits in some areas with wind chills in the negatives.  For Monday sunny skies with highs only reaching the lower thirties.  Monday night another cold one with lows in the upper teens.  Tuesday increase in clouds with highs in the lower forties.  Tuesday night chance of a shower with lows in the upper thirties.  Christmas Eve Day a good chance of rain returns into the forecast with highs warming into the mid to upper fifties.  The night before Christmas expect looks like a good chance of a shower with lows in the lower to mid forties.  Christmas Day some sun with highs in the mid fifties.  Looks like a white Christmas is out of the forecast with temperatures on the increase by Tuesday.
