Special Weather Statement

..PATCHES OF ICE POSSIBLE ON AREA ROADS OVERNIGHT...

A FEW SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE TENNESSEE MOUNTAINS
TONIGHT. RECENT RAINFALL AND SPOTTY SNOW SHOWERS HAVE RESULTED IN
WET ROADWAYS ACROSS THE REGION. TEMPERATURES HAVE FALLEN RAPIDLY TO
NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING LATE THIS EVENING. THIS WILL RESULT IN ICE
FORMATION ON ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND LOW LYING
VALLEYS SHELTERED FROM THE WIND.

WEATHER SPOTTERS AND LOCAL TV METEOROLOGISTS HAVE RELAYED REPORTS
OF SPOTTY HAZARDOUS ICY ROAD CONDITIONS. UNTREATED ROADWAYS WILL
LIKELY REMAIN COVERED WITH PATCHY ICE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
